Presidency Blasts PDP Over Appraisal: Buhari’s 30 Days In Office

The Presidency has taken a swipe at the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for asking Nigerians to turn prayer warriors in seeking divine intervention for the current administration to be able to begin working.

The PDP through its Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, on Sunday appraised the 30-day old Muhammadu Buhari administration and suggested that it was yet to find its bearing
Metuh then urged Nigerians to join hands in prayers for the government so that things would begin to move.
However, Buhari’s spokesman, Femi Adesina, in a statement on the same day, described Metuhs’s advice as amusing and unwarranted.
He said Nigerians had long formed such coalition which enabled them chase an un-performing Goodluck Jonathan-led PDP government out of power.
Adesina said a more contemplative Buhari government, which assumed office on May 29, 2015, was bidding its time in taking bold steps towards cleaning the Augean Stable bequeathed by the past administrations.
